Lushane

Lushane has spoken of one big dream since he began his time with us. Lushane wished to go back to his birth country, Jamaica...

"Lushane's father remains in Jamaica, as does his extended family. Although he speaks to his father on the phone, this did not replace the time he wishes to spend with his father in person. Lushane worked on his independence, confidence and self-advocacy and completed this long-awaited dream in the summer of 2025. This dream has given Lushane an increased sense of pride and purpose. The re-connection to his heritage was another major element that Lushane expressed extreme joy with, so much so that Lushane wishes to return next year to see his family again. Lushane is very proud to have completed this long-term goal, and we are also extremely proud of him!"
